Dressing Up

My new constitutional Amendment is at lest once a week or once every other week you need to dress up. I believe that when we dress up that we feel more confidant. When we are confidant we do better. If you are confidant you'll feel better too. Sometimes people get away with wearing sweat pants all the time they feel like crap and the things they do turn out as crap too. So I believe dressing up will also create more happiness.

What Do You Wish You Could Believe In Again?

Something I wish I could believe in again is not wearing make-up. Everyday I wake up and sometimes even before I go eat I make sure I put on make-up and look nice. Now of course I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to  look nice but sometimes I feel like I couldn't go a day to school or out in public wearing make-up. I remember in middle school I never wore make-up more than one day of eyeliner at the maximum a week. Now everyday even when I look like crap and wear sweat pants I still have the need to put on make-up. It's a terrible habit I wish I never got started in. Make-up should be used for special occasions not a day to the grocery store or to school to sit in a desk and listen to a teacher talk. They don't care if I look bad.
So I wish again I could believe in not wearing make-up.

Appearance over You

Being big on the outside doesn't always mean you are a big confidant person. That big starter on the basketball team is just as nervous as the small person to start that game. They may be 6'2" and taller than everyone on the floor but he's still nervous. Just because your small also doesn't mean you cant stand up for yourself and be "strong". Not muscles but thinking strong. Some of the smartest people in the world are short, or "small" in appearance. Sometimes your physical appearance is related to your personality though. Sometimes that "small" girl is very quiet and kept to her self, but that "big" guy is loud and friends with everyone. But not always because some "big" guys are quiet and kept to themselves too. If my appearance was related to my personality. I would change a lot. Because some days I'm open with everyone and loud and outgoing, but sometimes I don't want to talk to any one I just want to be left alone. To many I look small because of my size but I have a big heart and an open mind.

Are you a Saver or a Spender?

I am a saver. I believe something can be worth waiting for. I like to save up my money for something better rather than spending my money right away. I also know what is worth buying and what isn't.
In the article we read, I agree with what they say. I believe that if you can discipline yourself that you will succeed in life. you have to have control over yourself before your going to get any where.
My opinion in my generation is things are getting easier and easier for us. With tons of technology we don't have to remember to do anything, our phone can do that for us. We can easily cheat on test any more, with our phones. 95% of the time our teachers have us type our work. We are going to get out on our own and not know what to do with out our parents helping us through everything. I feel some of us just need to be more independent because the future depends on us and we cant rely off one another in the future we have to stand up for ourselves. http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2011/10/30/the-new-science-behind-your-spending-addiction.print.html

What make you, you? What tribe do you belong to?

I belong to the tribe of:
-Speakers
-Listners
-Basketball Players
-Tennis Players
-Track Runners
-Wildcats
-Farm Lovers
-Oreos for Breakfast
-Singers
-Believers
-Church
-Lost Hope
-Death
-Fear
-Strength
I belong to these tribes all for a reason. They make me who I am. The tribe of sports makes me willing to try new things and to always be busy. The Wildcat tribe means I will always be a wildcat, Canton South is my home. My tribe of farm lovers make me different from where I live. Growing up in the city but on the weekends you go four-wheeler riding make you an outcast from your home town. My tribe of church always gives me someone to look up to, God. My tribe of lost hope, death, and fear, are my weaknesses. Fear though keeps me going, knowing I have fear I also belong to the tribe of strength because I push  my self to still be strong. The tribe of believers means I believe in miracles and I believe in anything is possible meaning I will always have the outcome I want. Being in the tribe of speakers I am not afraid to speak my mind and go out of my way to make my opinion known. But with that comes the tribe of listeners. This being that I speak my mind and I speak it well but when it's your turn to speak your mind I let you do your job and I listen with my mind open.
Being in these tribes is me. I am Brooke & I am apart of many tribes.

This I Believe -- I Believe In Mistakes

What are you?

I'm An Extrovert. I'm energized by being around other people. I love people. I'm very outgoing and talking in front of a crowd doesn't bother me. I love to be in charge. I think as I speak I don't think before I speak. I seem to think better if I think as I speak. I love being social. I'm apart of many groups and clubs at school because I like being around people.
I believe that extroverts have it easier. They can just talk and go on and not have to prepare themselves. Introverts have to prepare and think long and hard.  The way extroverts act is accepted by society more than introverts behavior. They are easily accepted more.
If everyone was an extrovert I believe we'd have lots of arguments. Extroverts think as they speak so they speak their mind right away. This would lead to things being said that maybe weren't suppose to be said. But also I believe the world would be more open and free spirited.
If everyone in the world was an introvert we'd have no characteristics. We'd all be quiet and not communication with each other. You couldn't have friends because friendship involves communication.
In my friends I prefer extroverts. Mostly cause they are like me but they are fun. They are free spirited and easy to get along with, and they enjoy talking like me. They are more willing to go into something dangerous and take chances. Life live on the edge.
Extroverts are better leaders in my opinion. They can throw stuff out and be right at any given time. They can speak their mind easily and not feel bad about it. They can challenge others to become better as well.
Introverts are better writer because they can think easily. Extroverts kinda jam stuff together. Introverts give it a meaning.
Which are better neighbors? Well if you like peace and quiet, you're gonna want a introvert as a neighbor, but  if you want an outgoing neighbor who will hang out with you, you want an extrovert.
I think extroverts are better teachers because they have great minds to be creative to teach children.
Being and extrovert or an introvert does matter, it's who you are. Being who you are matters.

Forgiving for Hope.

Forgiving simply means that you will no longer spend one more minuet of one more hour of one more day allowing yourself to be dominated by negative emotions. Forgive someone not as kindness but as kindness to yourself. If you get hurt repeatedly every day; like called a name everyday by the same person. The next day stand up for yourself. Now this doesn't mean go and punch them in the face no matter how much you want to. Simply say to them something like "It's okay your a jerk. It's OK you call me this hateful name everyday. But it is not okay for me to let it bother me. I'm done letting you be the one who determines how I feel everyday. I'm done giving you the satisfaction of hurting me. Mostly because I'm stronger than you I no longer hurt."

You have to get rid of those terrible people to be strong and happy. That's just how it works. Stand up for yourself and start looking forward and your life will change. Pinky Promise.

Your Tapes About Yourself

If you thinking negatively about yourself, your prob lacking self confidence. This is because your always telling yourself that your not good enough, or that you'll never be good enough. Your playing that terrible tapes in head therefor you have a terrible out look over everything. You also prob don't have a good life either. (Well in your opinion)  If you trample out of bed, and have to force yourself to smile you defiantly need to change your tapes in your head. To positive things. If they change to positive things. Your going to look forward to your next day of school. And your going to be able to easily put a smile on your face with out forcing yourself. You be a happier person. And believe it or not a healthier person. So have good thoughts not bad. Good tapes playing not terrible tapes.

"Never Let The Fear Of Striking Out Keep You From Playing The Game"

Just because your scared to do something doesn't mean you don't try. It's okay to fail. NO ONE is perfect. There is no such thing as perfect.
Always try. Always tell yourself that you can. Never say "can't". If you try and tell yourself that you can chances are your going to succeed. Now maybe you won't succeed how you wanted to but hey hats just another goal to set. To get further than the last time.
Just remember. Never Give up. Always move forward.

One’s-Self I Sing. by Walt Whitman

ONE’S-SELF I sing—a simple, separate Person;
Yet utter the word Democratic, the word En-masse.

Of Physiology from top to toe I sing;
Not physiognomy alone, nor brain alone, is worthy for the muse—I say the
Form complete is worthier far;
The Female equally with the male I sing.

Of Life immense in passion, pulse, and power,
Cheerful—for freest action form’d, under the laws divine,
The Modern Man I sing.

Favorite Poem! >> Poets To Come >> Walt Whitman

Poets to come! orators, singers, musicians to come!
Not to-day is to justify me and answer what I am for,
But you, a new brood, native, athletic, continental, greater than
before known,
Arouse! for you must justify me.
I myself but write one or two indicative words for the future,
I but advance a moment only to wheel and hurry back in the darkness.
I am a man who, sauntering along without fully stopping, turns a
casual look upon you and then averts his face,
Leaving it to you to prove and define it,
Expecting the main things from you.

Walt Whitman!

Walt Whitman an American poet, essayist and journalist. He was a romantics poet. He wrote about life, love, and people being people.

Big City, or Small Town

-I would choose the small town. In small towns everyone knows everyone. In the big city. Everyday you walk around where 95% of the people around you, you ave no idea who they are. In a small town it's peaceful. Not very many travelers, and there is most likely not a huge, loud highway going through the middle of town. In the big city many people might travel there for vacation. And in the middle of the night you might fall asleep to sirens on the highway rather than the sound of crickets in your back yard.

-Some people do enjoy the sound of the sirens and the rush of the city. Some people can't stand it being quiet. But not me. What would you choose?

Sophomore Year (:

Sophomore Year. I was expecting Freshmen year all over again. Not saying Freshmen year was bad, but it was different than this year (so far). Everyone has new friends. The people who were friends all through middle school now hate each other. The friends last year have no classes together this year so their all making new friends. It's not different just by everyone making new friends but it's different because we have new teachers, & new expectations. Also this year I'm going to have to study. The test year are a lot harder than last year. This year I also want to make more "mini goals" for myself. Goals to help me reach that one ultimate goal. I also want to do well with my athletics this year. Not only that but I want to have fun hanging out with my friends and make my high school memories last. Because before I know it year 2014 is going to be here.
